Social Workers – Safeguarding – Northamptonshire £38

Ashberry Recruitment are looking for a Qualified Social Worker for the Children’s Safeguarding Team within Northamptonshire Children’s Services Trust. This is a 6-month initial contract with a potential for ongoing work.

The Children’s Social Worker will be part of a well-structured and stable team, with supportive management.

Duties:

1. Attending LAC Reviews, Case conferences, and Child Protection meetings
2. Working with Public Law Outline (PLO)
3. Core Assessments
4. Court Reports

Essential Experience:

3 years minimum post-qualifying experience of working within a statutory Children’s Safeguarding Social Work team within the UK.

Enhanced DBS.

Applicants must meet the following:

1. DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
2. Social Work England registration
3. Enhanced and in-date DBS certificate
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to make good decisions based on available information
5. Ability to work alone and contribute to a team/multi-agency setups
6. Possess knowledge of service needs
7. Competent IT skills and ability to navigate electronic file/recording systems
8. Ability to write clear, concise, and robust assessments/reports/files
9. Flexible approach to work and working hours when needed
