Assistant Quality Manager – Fresh Produce

Our Client is a unique Fresh Produce business, sourcing product to supply an alternative and exclusive product range to the UK market. Due to continued success and growth, we now offer the opportunity of Assistant Quality Manager to join the business.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the position of Assistant Quality Manager will work closely with their QA team to manage fresh produce quality, shelf life and packing processes to ensure customers receive the best possible experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the production and quality team.
2. Become the main point of contact onsite on behalf of the company.
3. Support, advise and work closely with the Technical Manager onsite.
4. Assess raw materials and provide in-depth quality assurance analysis.
5. Undertake shelf life testing and contribute to supplier feedback and analysis.
6. Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies and identify and develop processes to improve accuracy.

Requirements:

1. An experienced individual with a strong background in Quality Assurance / Product Management.
2. Fresh Produce knowledge, with exposure to both Fruit & Vegetable products.
3. The ability to confidently take ownership of product quality assurance.
4. Exposure to QC reporting, sample testing, trials, and shelf life.
5. Knowledge of product technical & quality standards.
6. Drive, passion, and dedication is key for success in this position.

Salary: Up to £35k, dependent on experience offered.

Hours: Monday to Friday.

Location: Essex.
