Hours: 12 month fixed term contract. 35 hours per week. Hybrid working, with an expectation of once a month on-site at our Head Office in Skipton for key project activity.

Salary: £65,000 Per Annum

We’re seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Reward & Benefits Senior Specialist to join our People Team on a fixed-term basis.

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping and delivering our reward and benefits strategies, ensuring they align with our people-centric approach and support our colleagues’ wellbeing and financial security.

The core role of our Reward & Governance team is to deliver a reward strategy that attracts, retains, and recognizes our colleagues. What Will You Be Doing?

As Reward & Benefits Senior Specialist, you will join a dedicated team of specialists in compensation, benefits, pensions, governance, and regulatory reward.

You will work across the full range of Reward and Governance responsibilities, collaborating with the wider People team and organizational leaders.

You will have the opportunity to:

  1. Lead the annual renewal and management of Skipton's benefits offerings, including private medical insurance, life assurance, income protection, and critical illness cover.
  2. Collaborate with HR Business Partners to align reward and benefits initiatives with business needs.
  3. Develop and implement communication plans to promote our Total Reward offerings.
  4. Provide expert advice on reward policies, benefits, job evaluation, and role grading.
  5. Support annual reward activities, including salary reviews and bonus scheme implementations.
  6. Drive continuous improvement in reward processes, ensuring compliance and alignment with our People Strategy.
  7. Manage relationships with insurance providers and benefits vendors for seamless service delivery.
  8. Manage, promote, and administer Skipton’s benefits platform.
  9. Identify opportunities to enhance benefits offerings through research and onboarding new services.
  10. Lead communication efforts regarding benefit changes for employees and partners.

What Do We Need From You?

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  1. Proven experience supporting medium- to large-sized reward projects, such as benefits renewal, supplier onboarding, pay reviews, or bonuses.
  2. Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data for reward decisions.
  3. Extensive knowledge of colleague benefits.
  4. Experience working with benefits suppliers and brokers.
  5. Proficiency in administering benefits platforms.
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leaders.
