Apprentice - Social Services & Health Care, Trianaid
37 hours per week, Fixed term of one year
£27,090 per annum (inclusive of £2,859 Distant Islands Allowance per annum)

As an Apprentice, you will be trained as a Social Care Assistant through an accredited training programme. This will enable you to work as part of a team that promotes and supports Adults with Support Needs to actively participate in local resources and facilities, maximizing their inclusion, independence, and planned outcomes.

Essential qualities include an understanding of the rights and responsibilities of people with support needs, the ability to work with challenging behaviors, respect for others, effective information gathering and retention, following instructions, and working effectively as part of a team.

You will work towards an SVQ Level 2 in Social Services and Health Care, achievable within 1 year.

This role requires the wearing and use of PPE.

The position is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme concerning regulated work with adults.

Salary includes the Distant Islands Allowance.
