Salary: 16,800 - 24,000

We are working with a supportive and high-achieving secondary school in Bradford to recruit a Graduate Academic Mentor on a permanent basis from September. This is the perfect opportunity to gain paid, in-school experience while making a genuine impact on young people's learning.
Graduate Academic Mentor - about the school:

The school actively supports Graduate Academic Mentors on their journey towards teacher training through:
Mentoring from experienced teachers and senior staff
Opportunities to observe and assist in a wide range of lessons
Ongoing professional development and training
Clear pathways into teacher training (e.g., PGCE or Schools Direct)
Graduate Academic Mentor - the role:
Support students across KS3 and KS4 in core subjects (especially English, Maths or Science)
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to help close learning gaps
Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Help with exam preparation, revision sessions, and homework support
Build positive relationships with students and help boost confidence and motivation
Graduate Academic Mentor - requirements:
A recent top university graduate in any academic subject
Passionate about working with young people and making a difference
A future teacher looking to gain meaningful, paid classroom experience
Confident, approachable, and able to inspire learners
Previous experience (e.g., tutoring, youth work, volunteering in schools) is essential
