Lead Estimator, Mechanical Systems

We are seeking a team player to lead our custom estimation projects at our Bucks County manufacturing facility. If you are interested in joining a high-growth, well-established organization with outstanding growth opportunities, then this is an excellent opportunity for you!

The responsibilities include leading our estimation and proposal team, managing custom engineering systems, coordinating projects, and ensuring the timely and within-budget completion of projects, aligned with corporate strategy, commitments, and organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the estimation and proposal team.
  2. Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects.
  3. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
  4. Interact with clients daily to interpret their needs and represent them in the field.
  5. Oversee quality control of work, including budget, schedule, plans, and personnel performance; report regularly on project status.
  6. Assign responsibilities and mentor project team members.
  7. Coordinate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders to provide technical support.
  8. Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Safely lift, carry, and move objects of varying weights.
  • Perform bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, standing, and walking for extended periods, maintaining physical dexterity and coordination.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to different temperatures, weather, and noise levels.

Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in estimation, bidding, and proposal processes for mechanical systems.
  • Experience in at least three of the following areas: Heavy Equipment, Processing Equipment, Pumps, Hydraulics, Machinery, Manufacturing, Pharma Equipment, or Automated Equipment.
  • P.E. license and/or Project Management qualification (PMP, CPM) or equivalent experience (not required).
  • Proficiency in design and visualization software such as AutoCAD.
  • Experience as a Project Engineer, Systems Engineer, Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, or Project Manager.
  • Technical skills in at least two of the following: ERP systems, SCADA, PLCs, AutoCAD, SketchUp, MRP, CRM, MS Office, MS Excel, Google Docs.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Knowledge of rules, regulations, performance standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to work on multiple discipline projects.
  • Strong project management, supervision, decision-making, leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
