About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Catering Lecturer to join our team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality teaching to students pursuing catering and hospitality courses, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in the culinary industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching in Catering, covering a variety of cooking techniques, food safety, and hospitality management.
  2. Plan, prepare, and assess lesson plans, practical assignments, and demonstrations to ensure students meet curriculum requirements.
  3. Provide academic and pastoral support to students, encouraging their development in both practical and theoretical aspects of catering.
  4. Contribute to the development and review of course materials to ensure alignment with industry trends and academic standards.
  5. Foster an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that promotes student engagement, participation, and success.

Essential Requirements:

  1. A qualification in Catering, Culinary Arts, or a related field (or equivalent).
  2. Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd) or a commitment to obtaining one.
  3. Experience working in the catering or hospitality industry, with a strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen management.
  4. Experience teaching or training in a catering environment, preferably within further education.
  5. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
