A leading mental health trust is seeking a dynamic and motivated Band 6 Mental Health Nurse for the West Wilts CMHT. The role involves care coordination for service users with psychotic illnesses, providing therapeutic interventions, and working collaboratively with other professionals. We are redesigning the model of care based on identified pathways and are looking for clinicians who are skilled or have an interest in training to deliver interventions to service users on a psychotic pathway.
This post is open to newly qualified social workers. In line with AWP trust policy, all newly qualified social workers (NQSW) will initially be recruited at Band 5, regardless of the advertised role banding. All NQSWs are expected to successfully complete their ASYE within 2 years of employment, unless there are exceptional circumstances, in which case it may be extended for a further 2 years.
If appointed to a Band 6 role, this will be an automatic progression upon successful ASYE completion. If appointed to a Band 5 role, you will be eligible to apply for a subsequent Band 6 vacancy upon successful completion of ASYE.
This is an exciting opportunity for clinicians to develop skills in a focused way for an identified group of individuals on a psychotic pathway, improving outcomes and experiences for service users and their carers.
The successful applicant will be responsible for care co-ordination of a complex caseload of service users with psychotic illnesses, which may include co-existing substance misuse issues.
The role involves providing therapeutic interventions and coordinating interventions with other professionals within the CPA process.
