Solution Architect (One Ledger) Financial Control & Risk Models

Key responsibilities:

We are seeking candidates to collaborate within the Enterprise Services (Financial Control & Risk Models) domain.

As a Solutions Architect, you will focus on the functional architecture of applications and their interactions within the Architecture Landscape, including third-party systems.

The team functions as an Architecture Community across various domains, sharing reusable patterns and solutions.

You will join an IT Enterprise Services & Fraud team based in Spain/Nearshore or the UK, working collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Apply strong domain knowledge and Decision Driven Design experience, utilizing frameworks like BIAN, TOGAF, ArchiMate, and API & microservice architecture solutions, using tools such as Avolution Abacus to create Solution Design Documents (SDD).
• Own the end-to-end Solution Architecture, coordinating input from other disciplines (Security, Data, Infra, Cloud) and aligning with the Domain Enterprise Architecture Strategy.
• Document complex As-Is, Transition, and Target Architectures, aligned with roadmaps.
• Establish and maintain Strategy/Roadmaps, aligning stakeholders across technologies and business areas, both locally and globally.
• Understand and experience in migrating/decommissioning legacy technologies and removing obsolescence.

Mandatory Skills

• Experience in IT Systems Design and Solutions Architecture within Financial Institutions (Retail or Corporate), with domain knowledge in Finance & Risk, ideally involving General Ledger systems migration, transformation projects, or other regulated industry risk control frameworks.
• Ability to create practical, workable architectures aligned with IT principles and standards, following governance.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively, both written and verbal.
• Proven experience in diplomatically challenging and influencing diverse stakeholders and colleagues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• 3-5 years of Solution Architecture experience.
