Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Domestic Abuse Support Worker to provide vital support to families affected by domestic abuse. This role focuses on empowering individuals to escape abusive situations and rebuild their lives through a trauma-informed approach. You will manage caseloads, conduct assessments, and deliver both one-on-one and group support. This full-time position requires a driver due to community-based work in the West Lancashire area. Job description

Ashberry Recruitment are looking for a Temporary Domestic Abuse Support Worker initially until the end of July but could get extended (If funding is extended).

The role will be based in the community covering the West Lancashire area, therefore a driver is required for this role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Domestic Abuse Support Worker, you will provide direct support to families who have or are experiencing domestic abuse with a focus on empowering victim-survivors to escape abuse and rebuild their lives. Delivering a holistic package of support using a trauma-informed approach to support their needs through one-to-one work and group work programmes.

  1. Manage a caseload of individuals
  2. Complete assessments and create support plans
  3. Provide one to one support
  4. Using a trauma informed approach to support and be sensitive to each individual's needs
  5. Regular safety plans
  6. Monitoring and reporting

Requirements
  1. Driver with Business Use Insurance
  2. Ideally experience working with DV individuals
  3. Experience of working in a supporting role
Hours

Full Time - Monday - Friday - 37.5 Hours (Hours may be negotiated)
