We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader - Casework to join the Hampshire & Isle of Wight team. This is a hybrid role working 37.5 hours a week.

About the role:

This role is based at Southampton Central Police Station, Southern Rd, Southampton SO15 1AN. It is a full-time position with shifts between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is £29,580 per annum. The role is permanent, requiring a DBS check and police vetting. The closing date for applications is 25/11/2024, Ref No 5859.

About the role:

This is a hybrid role with home working allowed twice weekly. You will be based in Chandlers Ford but will regularly travel to offices in Basingstoke and Southampton, with expenses paid. Your responsibilities include:

• Ensuring excellent service delivery to victims of crime and managing operational staff
• Collaborating with the Operations Manager to develop the service and maximize positive outcomes
• Promoting the service and working with professionals to improve access and quality

Requirements:

• Understanding of the criminal justice system and its impact on victims and witnesses
• Knowledge of legislation on equal opportunities, diversity, safeguarding, and risk assessment
• Understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and safe working practices
• Experience in a challenging environment with a focus on customer service
• Ability to provide crisis management, support, and guidance
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and advisory skills
