Job Opportunity: Porter at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital

We currently have an opportunity for a Porter at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in the Facilities Directorate.

Role Overview:

Working in a busy acute hospital, you will undertake a range of duties in portering services, both planned and reactive. Candidates should be friendly, polite, and able to work as part of a flexible team in a customer service environment.

Important Note: All new employees will be charged for their DBS check if required for their role. The cost will be deducted from pay over three months, and by applying, you agree to this process. Further details will be shared by the Recruitment Team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in providing an efficient, flexible, and customer-focused portering service across all hospital sites.
2. Use a task management system via a handheld device to undertake tasks such as patient movement, distribution, stores, furniture, equipment, pharmacy, meals, pathology items, blood products, waste, movement of deceased, confidential waste, post, and laundry.
