Days, 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm (Saturday work for extra hours available, hours: 9 am - 5 pm)

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator/warehouse operative to perform general warehouse duties in Derby. Join a friendly team that handles high volumes of customer orders, ensuring timely completion of orders.

Responsibilities:

1. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety regulations.
2. Move, stack, and organize materials within the warehouse.
3. Check forklift for faults or damage regularly.
4. Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
5. Transport goods to and from storage areas, shelves, or pallets.
6. Stack and unstack large quantities of goods.
7. Secure goods for transport.
8. Assist in shipping and receiving, verifying shipments.
9. Palletize goods for shipment and label pallets for dispatch.
10. Participate in basic picking and packing duties.
11. Handle materials and assist in warehouse operations.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Valid accredited forklift operating license (e.g., RTITB).
2. Ability to perform pre-use checks on equipment.
3. Hazard awareness and safe operating practices.
4. Proficiency in load handling, stacking, and maintaining load stability.
5. Ability to operate forklift safely at appropriate speeds and in confined spaces.
