Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: To £48,000 per annum, plus benefits and excellent career opportunities
Hours: 4 On 4 Off 12 Hour Shifts (4 Days followed by 4 Nights)
Location: Ebbsfleet Valley Area - Commutable from Gravesend, Greenhithe, Strood, Rochester, Aylesford, Maidstone, Sevenoaks, Bromley, South Ockenden, Erith, Orpington, West Malling, Tonbridge and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work within a large company at one of their premium factories on the south side of the Thames in Kent. You will benefit from a friendly team of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers working within a fast-paced environment. This is a multi-skilled environment with both electrically and mechanically biased Maintenance Engineers working effectively together, sharing knowledge and experience to get the work done. Responsibilities
The Maintenance Engineers get the opportunity to cover both electrical and mechanical maintenance work across the factory, and you are encouraged and supported to develop your weaker side. Your main and primary role is supporting all production machinery. This includes diagnosing and troubleshooting breakdowns and machinery problems, together with undertaking planned preventative maintenance and project work, such as new installations.


Preferred Skills & Experience
- Multi-skilled, experienced in undertaking breakdown troubleshooting and planned maintenance as a Maintenance Engineer or Service Engineer, ideally within industrial, manufacturing, production, or automated environments.
- Have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold engineering qualifications at NVQ / C&G Level 3 in mechanical or electrical.
- Have good maintenance and troubleshooting skills across some of the following: Motors, Belts, Bearings, Chains, Gears, Pumps, Boilers, Sensors, Inverters, Relays, Contactors, 3 Phase machinery, PLCs, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Steam systems, etc.
- Are multi-skilled across electrical and mechanical - either bias is welcome - additional electronics skills, especially fault finding to component level, are very useful.
- Friendly and adaptable with the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Proactive work attitude and always keen to get stuck in.
- Always ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with the Site Health and Safety instructions.
