Job Description:

BAE Systems Australia is offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Manufacturing Manager Lead based at Edinburgh Park, SA, reporting to the Enablement Manager. The role involves overseeing manufacturing execution for Defence programs, including machined components, electronics, and electromechanical assemblies. You will lead a team of manufacturing project managers to meet project cost, schedule, quality, and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of manufacturing project managers across multiple programs.
2. Acting as a primary point of contact for escalation of issues impacting project delivery.
3. Setting expectations, monitoring team performance, and fostering professional development.
4. Ensuring projects meet schedule, cost, quality, and compliance standards.
5. Implementing Earned Value Management (EVM) for performance monitoring.
6. Collaborating with production, procurement, and engineering teams for resource readiness.
7. Maintaining strong relationships with various departments and providing transparent reporting on project status, risks, and financials.

About You:

• Teritary qualifications and experience eligible for Australian Institute of Project Management membership.
• Proven leadership in managing manufacturing or technical project teams.
• Understanding of machining, electronics, and electromechanical assembly processes (desirable).
• Expertise in project controls, including Earned Value Management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Current Baseline Clearance or eligibility to obtain it.
• Eligibility for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) clearance.
