What You'll Be Doing

As an Apprentice at Mitie, you'll make a real impact from day one. Your journey could include:

  • Completing apprenticeship modules on time
  • Attending accredited training as required
  • Traveling to client sites as needed
  • Completing daily task reviews and documenting on-the-job training
  • Ensuring compliance with NSI standards and company quality standards
  • Wearing uniform and PPE at all times
  • Adhering to health & safety regulations (depending on age)
  • Acquiring and maintaining basic hand tools as per role requirements
  • Following company policies and procedures
  • Reporting deficiencies or issues that could affect service, safety, or environment
  • Using work equipment and PPE correctly
  • Reporting issues or training needs to your manager or via incident reporting systems

As part of your apprenticeship, you'll enroll in a Level 3 Fire and Security Apprenticeship, typically lasting 36 months. You'll be supported by our partnered college with weekly college attendance, one-on-one advice, e-learning, and access to technical experts.

Our dedicated Apprenticeship Team will assist you throughout, helping you achieve your goals and discover new opportunities.

  • Knowledge in areas like Electrical Fence, CCTV, Access Control, or Intruder Alarms (advantageous)
  • IT competency

  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • A valid UK Driving Licence
  • Professional manner
  • GCSEs in Maths and English (grades 4-9 or equivalent) or Scottish National 5 certificates (Grade A-C), to be provided at interview
