Project Manager - Fixed Income Technology

We are expanding our Fixed Income Technology team as we build out our next generation of in-house analytics and trading applications and as we support a growing Fixed Income business. Our team faces-off to Portfolio Managers – trading Rates, FX, Credit and Mortgages – and to the Fixed Income Risk Management and Business Management teams. We lead projects across Pre-Trade Analytics, Execution, Risk Management and Performance Analysis, as well as bespoke projects for individual Portfolio Manager teams. These projects vary from short-to-medium term, based on business demand and evolve rapidly. We have a growing business and increasing demand and as such we’re looking to grow our project delivery capacity in both New York and London.

The Fixed Income Tech Project Manager role will be a combination of technical hands-on problem solving, project/stakeholder management and coordination across multiple tech and quant development teams. Responsibilities

  • Converting high level requirements from internal Portfolio Managers, Risk Managers and Business Managers into concrete, workable projects
  • Responsible for design, delivery and stakeholder-management for a variety of short-medium-and-long-term projects
  • Understanding the technical application architecture and ensuring projects and changes correctly align with the strategy and direction of our platforms
  • Hands-on analysis, data crunching, design and direction of engineering teams
  • Functional areas include pre-trade analytics, intraday position and risk management and historical performance analysis

Requirements

  • Creative problem solver, leaning on extensive domain Fixed Income markets domain knowledge
  • Experience operating in a multi-team, multi-application and multi-stakeholder space, where projects will likely push the perceived traditional team/app boundaries
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, technical teams and senior leaders
  • Strong problem solving capabilities & analytical skills, with an ability to confidently communicate solutions to our internal stakeholders
  • Proven ability, demonstrating technical leadership and making critical design decisions
  • Experience working in fast-paced Front Office Tech environment, balancing demanding clients across both production and project delivery
  • Positive advocate for software design, testing, and continuous integration, with experience of operating continual delivery in a face-paced environment
  • Inquisitive and independent mind that could bring new perspectives and approaches to our global team
  • Detail and data oriented, organized, demonstrating thoroughness and strong ownership of work
