School Finance Manager | Barnet

School Finance Manager - Part Time 2.5 days per week - £28K (FTE c.£60K)

Enticing School Finance Manager opportunity for an interesting educational institute in the London Borough of Barnet, dedicated to providing a safe and secure schooling environment to vulnerable children.

School Finance Manager job type: Part Time, Permanent

The successful School Finance Manager will report into the CFO and be required to provide accurate and timely financial advice and information to the senior leadership team.

School Finance Manager duties include:

  1. Review and manage school's day to day financial processes.
  2. Financial modelling when requested to do so to enable strategic decision making.
  3. Ensure all budget holders manage their budget effectively.
  4. Monitor the effectiveness of the deployment of resources against future business and school needs.
  5. Benchmarking activities and recommendations for change.
  6. Managing invoicing, POS and transactions.
  7. School account management.
  8. Liaising and working with auditors.
  9. Financial management system (FMS) operations.
  10. Financial analysis and reconciliation.
School Finance Manager requirements:
  1. Educated to degree level in a finance/business related discipline.
  2. ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA, AAT, or equivalent qualification preferred.
  3. Experience with Xero.
  4. Established track record in financial management within public sector or schools.
