£31,650 - £43,606 per annum

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum requirement for this position is a suitable qualification to teach PE i.e PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS

The School and Role

ABC Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Female PE Supply Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Kings Heath on a long-term basis. This exciting position is available from September 2025, with pay in line with M1 to M6 teaching scales. Located in the heart of Kings Heath, Birmingham, this diverse and forward-thinking secondary school is known for its strong focus on student well-being and academic excellence. The school has a well-resourced PE department and a leadership team that values professional development and staff well-being.

Key Role:

  • Teach engaging PE lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students

  • Deliver both practical and theory content in line with the national curriculum

  • Promote a healthy and active lifestyle through inclusive and motivating sessions

  • Be part of a supportive and collaborative PE department

  • Full-time, long-term role with potential for extension or permanent placement

Requirements

The successful PE Teacher will have;

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Specialism or experience in Physical Education (PE)

  • Ability to inspire and motivate female students in sports and fitness

  • Excellent behaviour management and communication skills

  • Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
