Job Description: Electrical Control and Instrumentation Systems Engineer, full-time position based in Derby, onsite with flexible working (3 days in office, 2 days WFH). Multiple opportunities are available to work on the next-generation of Submarine EC&I, including Dreadnought and SSNA programs.
The EC&I sub-system teams handle the end-to-end design of reactor control & instrumentation, integration, commissioning, power systems control, and sensors. The design lifecycle ranges from concept through detailed design, V&V, production, build, and commissioning support. The successful candidates will be aligned to their strengths within various areas of the Sub-systems department.
The department collaborates with internal and external teams such as supply chain, manufacturing engineering (IPT), and supports the Barrow site and the shipbuilder through documentation and issue resolution. This work supports both the Dreadnought and SSNA programs.
