Job description

Turner Lovell is partnering with a specialist civil engineering contractor to source a Health & Safety Advisor to oversee important power transmission projects across the UK. This is a growing business, highly successful within their niche, providing services to Grid and Renewable Energy projects. The role is remote, and candidates can be based anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular site visits to review, update, and communicate all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies, procedures, and regulations.
2. Participate in safety audits, inspections, and investigations; compile reports and ensure compliance.
3. Ensure all SHEQ policies and procedures are implemented, understood, and adhered to on all site locations to maintain a safe working environment.
4. Oversee the implementation of the company's Integrated Management System.
5. Ensure RAMS are up-to-date at the start of each project and amended throughout the project lifecycle in line with site changes.
6. Document and investigate accidents and near misses, implementing improvements.
7. Maintain and update SHEQ department administration.
8. Provide management with SHEQ information and contribute to policy development.

Candidate Requirements:

• Hold a TechIOSH membership.
• Be NEBOSH Construction certified or equivalent.
