Job description

Job Title: Driver MFO

A vacancy has arisen for a Driver MFO to join our team at our soil wash & material recovery plant at Port Salford.

The Multifunctional Plant Operator role involves providing operational support daily, in line with Site and Company Health and Safety procedures. Responsibilities include visual inspections, reporting on plant areas, and operating various mobile plant as required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Providing operational support daily.
2. Maintaining high standards of housekeeping in all operational areas.
3. Ensuring full compliance with station and Company Health and Safety Procedures, including vehicle checks and defect reporting.
4. Performing visual inspections and reports on soil wash plant conveyors, chutes, screens, and associated equipment.
5. Operating mobile plant (Loading Shovel, Excavator, Dump truck) safely.
6. Following, promoting, and reporting any activity deviating from site operational rules.
7. Assisting with maintenance tasks.
8. Completing other tasks as required for safe and efficient plant operation.
9. Ensuring all Health and Safety measures are in place at all times.
10. Undertaking training to ensure competence.

Ideal Candidate Skills and Attributes:

• ECITB Passport to Safety or equivalent.
• Risk Assessment training, Point of Work Risk Assessment, basic Manual Handling training.
• Front-End Loading shovel licence to green card standard.
• Excavator licence to green card standard.
• Articulated Dump Truck licence to green card standard.
• Experience operating washing & screening plants.
• Understanding maintenance requirements of fixed & mobile plant.
• Ability to perform front line minor maintenance.
• Positive attitude to safety.
• Previous experience on wash plant sites.
• Knowledge of screens & conveyors is advantageous.
• Willingness to undertake manual labour for maintenance tasks.
