A leading university in the UK is seeking a Finance Assistant for the Accounts Payable team. The role involves processing invoices and claims, requiring strong organisational and IT skills. The successful candidate will thrive in a busy finance environment and contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Based in Accounts Payable, you will be primarily involved with checking and processing invoices and expense claims into the Finance system, and handling enquiries and issues arising from the process.
Successful candidates should have at least an HNC in Accounting or an equivalent qualification, along with excellent IT skills. Experience working in a busy, high-volume finance (Accounts Payable) environment, a good understanding of the Purchase-to-Pay process, and strong customer care skills are essential.
You will need to be well-organised and capable of prioritising your workload to meet strict deadlines.
