Job description

Data Engineer (Databricks, Snowflake, Python) - HUGE DATA LAKE!

Hull - RELOCATION PACKAGE OFFERED!

Are you a Data Engineer looking to own all aspects of a large, complex Data lake on a truly enterprise-level scale? This is not your average Data Lake in terms of size and scale.

My well-known client needs you.

It's an exciting time for them as they undergo a massive digital transformation that will impact all areas of their business. Data is central to their strategy, and this transformation will elevate their data capabilities.

I'm seeking a seasoned Data Engineer who has experience with large, complex data platforms in production environments, managing Data lakes through significant transformation processes.

Technically, you should be proficient with monitoring tools like CloudWatch and Datadog, and have exposure to modern Data lakes and ETL platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.

You should have strong Python skills, capable of making architectural changes, and full ownership of ETL pipelines to ensure smooth data transformation flows. AWS experience, especially with services like Glue and S3, is also important.

This role is pivotal in my client's roadmap. You will become the "go-to" person for Data, engaging with senior leadership on long-term data strategy. You will also oversee and mentor the Data Engineering team, supporting, motivating, and inspiring best practices.

You will be passionate about Data Engineering and stay updated on industry trends. You'll join a large, talented Dev and Change team with vast learning opportunities. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring quick thinking and efficiency. The work is rewarding and offers rapid skill development.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a market leader building sophisticated, enterprise-scale data-driven applications.

Salary up to £65,000 with a £5,000 quarterly bonus, plus benefits, in their fantastic Hull offices, working 3 days a week onsite.
