Job Introduction

Title: Enquiries Coordinator Volunteer Role (unpaid)

Location: Age Well East, Clacton-On-Sea, Essex, CO15 1NZ or Hybrid / Remote

Hours: Flexible hours available, ideally 4 to 8 hours per week during Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

About The Role

As an Enquiries Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for Age Well East, providing a warm, compassionate welcome to older people, carers, and professionals seeking support. You'll actively listen to enquiries made via phone or email, offering information, signposting to trusted external services, or referring clients to our internal services such as advice and welfare, dementia support, befriending, and carer support.

You'll also maintain accurate records using our Salesforce CRM system - logging enquiries and creating case files. You'll be supported to stay informed about local services, including our list of trusted tradespeople (e.g., gardeners, cleaners, handymen), and help connect people with safe and appropriate support.

What We're Looking For

  • An understanding (or willingness to learn) of the challenges older people face
  • Confidence in using a computer and database (training provided)
  • Ability to follow confidentiality and data protection law
  • A background in social care, advice, or advocacy is helpful but not essential
