Job Description
The role also offers a technical framework allowance and disruption allowance, which you can apply for after completing training and meeting the technical criteria. By your second year as a fully trained property specialist, potential earnings may reach £53,524, excluding overtime or on-call payments.
Flexible Working: This role is primarily office-based. Once fully qualified, flexible or compressed hours may be considered based on training and business needs.

The Role
As a Maintenance Carpenter, you will handle maintenance, repairs, and construction in secure facilities, including infrastructure hardening and creating bespoke spaces. Responsibilities include producing technical drawings, selecting materials, and performing tasks to high standards under strict security protocols.
An exciting aspect is deploying within the UK for intelligence operations, using your skills to contribute directly to national security.
The role is mostly Monday to Friday, with early starts and occasional late work. There may be short-term travel and overseas deployments. Overtime and on-call payments are provided for additional hours.
About You
You should have a City & Guilds Level 2, BTEC, NVQ, or equivalent in Carpentry and Joinery, and be comfortable with hand and power tools. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, proactive approach, and problem-solving skills are essential. A full UK driving license is required, along with physical fitness and basic IT skills. You should also be able to write reports.
Training and Development
We offer at least 6 months of training, combining in-house and external courses, with mentorship and assessment milestones. We support ongoing professional development to keep your skills current.
