JOB TITLE: Security Officer

LOCATION: 43 N Walk, Yate, Bristol BS37 4AP

SHIFT PATTERN: 2 days and 2 nights then 4 days off

PAY RATE: £12.50 per hour

CONTRACT: 42h per week, permanent

As a Security Officer at ABM UK, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises. We are seeking individuals who are reliable, observant, and customer service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas and maintain a visible presence to deter illegal activities
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms for suspicious activities
• Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or security incidents
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure all access points are secure
• Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment
• Interact with visitors, employees, and contractors in a professional and courteous manner
• Write accurate reports detailing all observations and incidents

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience as a Security Officer or similar role is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with security equipment
• Must possess a valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods
