What you will do:

  1. Be a key worker actively involved in planning and assessing individual care needs, with responsibilities such as recording observations and attending care meetings.
  2. Provide personal and emotional support, including befriending individuals, listening to their concerns, and assisting with tasks like shopping and letter writing.
  3. Liaise with relatives, other staff, and caring agencies to ensure consistent and comprehensive care.
  4. Offer physical and personal care, including assistance with personal hygiene, respecting cultural or religious requirements.
  5. Help arrange activities that are culturally sensitive and encourage independence, such as hobbies and interests.
  6. Perform domestic tasks associated with care needs, like making beds.
  7. Ensure safety requirements are carried out, especially for night duties.
  8. Adhere to the Council's Equal Opportunities policies in all aspects of the role.
  9. Participate in regular training and supervision to enhance service quality.
  10. Attend staff meetings and contribute to the overall running of the establishment.
  11. Visit and support individuals in their homes, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
