Job description

Academics are recruiting on behalf of a Primary School in Southampton who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 6 Teacher. This is a full-time, fixed term contract to start ASAP.

The successful candidate will be a confident and competent Year 6 teacher with high expectations of children’s academic, emotional, and social development. Experience in Year 6 is essential. The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, in particular upper Key Stage 2, and be skilled in identifying gaps in pupils’ knowledge and know how to bridge these. The candidate will also be passionate and driven and willing to ‘go that extra mile’ for our pupils.

As this is a contract role, you will be required to carry out full teaching responsibilities. The school encourages their staff to bring fresh ideas into the classroom, ensuring engaging and dynamic lessons.
