Job description

We're looking for a Senior Programming & Partnerships Officer to join the team at Oxburgh Estate.

You’ll be responsible for working alongside the property team to deliver the year-round public engagement programme, creating unforgettable experiences for all visitors. You'll collaborate with national visitor programming teams, community, and commercial partners to deliver programmes, events, and activities that engage supporters.

Because Oxburgh is in a rural area, please consider your ability to commute before applying. The role requires working on weekends and bank holidays.

This is a fixed-term contract ending when the postholder returns to their role. The duration is uncertain but unlikely to exceed 12 months.

What you'll be doing

As the Senior Programming & Partnerships Officer, you'll lead the delivery of exceptional visitor experiences through diverse programmes of events and activities, aiming to surpass visitor expectations.

You’ll embody our inclusive service values, ensuring high-quality presentation and accessibility throughout the visitor journey. You'll create engaging programmes that encourage repeat visits and cater to diverse audiences.

Working closely with the Senior Volunteering & Community Officer, you'll support community outreach and consultation, contributing to our Community Engagement Plan and partnership development at Oxburgh.

You’ll deliver audience-focused programmes in collaboration with internal teams and external partners, maintaining high standards in site presentation and visitor interpretation. Activities will align with audience interests to support a memorable visitor experience.

You’ll line manage the Visitor Experience Officer and volunteers, shaping and delivering visitor experience opportunities. You’ll also manage budgets, drive income, and ensure health and safety compliance.

As part of the Duty management rota, you’ll oversee the smooth operation of the property during opening hours, acting as the main contact for staff, volunteers, and visitors in case of emergency or inquiries.
