Cambian Lufton College is a specialist residential education provider for 16 to 25-year-olds with Autism, learning disabilities, and complex behavioural and emotional needs. The college offers a 2-3 year pathway to prepare students for adulthood, equipping them with skills to lead independent and fulfilling lives.

The Role

Under the guidance of the Placements Manager and Principal, you will perform administrative tasks supporting the referral process for potential student placements. This includes ensuring efficient booking assessments, gathering information, and coordinating visits by parents, students, and local authorities. You will also work with the team to promote the college through social media, print materials, newsletters, and promotional events, including open days.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maintain records of student placements and support communication between parties.
  • Update social media and marketing with news and promotional content.
  • Represent the college at local events to promote placements for school leavers in counties such as Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Devon, North Somerset, and BANES.
  • Create and support transition plans for new students and assist families with anxieties.
  • Monitor review action trackers to ensure timely progress.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of Placement and Review meetings in line with statutory requirements.
  • Respond to placement inquiries from managers, students, parents, and authorities, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to meet placement needs.
  • Support administrative tasks such as arranging meetings, taking and sharing minutes, and managing documents.
Requirements
  • English and Maths GCSEs or equivalent (C grade or above).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in administration, personal assistance, or social media management.
