Job description

A marketing leading Lloyd’s insurance broker is recruiting for an IBA Head of Service.

The purpose of this role is to function as a pivotal point of contact between the business units and IBA with the aim of ensuring the secure, efficient, and auditable handling of client money. The role involves delivering against key performance indicators, service level agreements and working capital targets for the areas under responsibility, and strong collaboration with colleagues across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing the interface between IBA and a portfolio of client facing broking businesses.
  2. Working with the leadership of the IBA teams to ensure meaningful targets are set and achieved through agreement and collaboration.
  3. Supporting the development of IBA strategy and plans.
  4. Proposing and supporting the implementation of activities or workstreams aimed at improving the end-to-end service and/or enhancing the control environment.
  5. Producing regular reports to management on key targets, projects, and issues.
  6. Supporting colleagues on escalated issues and ensuring any training gaps are referred to Team Leaders for resolution.

Minimum Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a senior Insurance Broker Accounting (IBA) role with a good understanding and experience of insurance broking accounts.
  2. Excellent analytical, numerical, and information gathering skills.
  3. Ability to use analytical skills and knowledge to identify key risk areas.
  4. Understanding of the UK Regulatory environment.
  5. Strong communication skills to facilitate effective partnerships across the business.
