LOCATION: Preston, Lancashire

THE COMPANY: Our client was formed in 2003 by a dedicated engineer who wanted to create the best Laser Cutting service offering quality cut products on European stock material at competitive rates. This was to be backed by a ‘second-to-none’ Customer focus assisting with product design, planning, cutting and delivery across the UK.

Typical Duties for the Press Brake Operative based in Preston:

Set up and operate press brake machinery and related equipment.
Maintain a safe and hygienic workspace.
Inspect products, make corrections and ensure quality.
Measure, align, and position materials.

THE CANDIDATE: Experience would be an advantage, but not necessary as full in-house training will be given to the right candidate. A forklift truck licence would be an advantage. The successful Press Brake Operative must be able to work to tight deadlines and work within a team. Our client is looking for candidates that are reliable, hardworking with a ‘can do’ attitude to the working day.

Key skills/experience/requirements for the Press Brake Operative position based near Preston, Lancashire:

Must live within a commutable distance of Preston, Lancashire.
Will have previous experience working in a similar role or environment.
Will ideally have previous experience working in an engineering environment.
Will be flexible as per business needs with regards to working hours / overtime.
A valid forklift licence will be highly advantageous.
