Job description

Astute’s Nuclear Team is retained by HTSL Group, a provider of high-quality radioactive isotopes, advanced shielding, NDT equipment, and expert calibration services within the nuclear sector. They are seeking a Senior NDT Service Engineer to install and maintain industrial-ray systems, digital radiography, and film processors across the UK.

The role offers a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, a car allowance, and opportunities for growth and progression.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Repair a wide range of industrial X-ray equipment, CR and DR systems, x-ray safety systems, and film processors.
• Perform routine maintenance according to service contract requirements and carry out equipment upgrades as needed.
• Collaborate with the service team to resolve customer issues.
• Take ownership of site/system issues and develop resolution plans with technical management support.
• Escalate serious or unresolved issues affecting safety, compliance, or customer relationships to the Team Leader or Service Delivery Manager.
• Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed, reporting hazards to senior management.
• Build customer relationships and identify additional sales opportunities.

Professional Qualifications

Candidates should have:

• At least 5 years of experience installing, servicing, and commissioning complex electro-mechanical systems in the field.
• HNC/HND (Level 4-5) qualification in electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent.
• Skills in electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical diagnostics and fault finding.
• Mechanical and wiring assembly skills.
