Job description

Real Estate Development Solicitor

A London office of a leading UK Law firm requires a Real Estate Development Solicitor with at least 2 years PQE to join a thriving nationwide team acting on high-quality and varied commercial property-focused investment real estate work. Working as part of a Housing Development and Regeneration team dealing with funded schemes, s106 acquisitions, golden brick transactions, large-scale regeneration schemes, and asset management.

The role will be to manage a caseload involving advising clients on fixed fee estimates, heads of terms, drafting and negotiating commercial property agreements, leases, licenses, deeds of easement, surrender and variation, and lease reviews. The role will liaise with other departments with cross-sectional work such as property litigation whilst supporting on new Development schemes, acting on sales and acquisitions.

Qualities
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years PQE in Commercial Property development, real estate, or general property with an understanding of Part II of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, experience in leasehold and freehold property including investigation of title, and site acquisition for development. Knowledge of the housing sector and affordable housing is also required.
