Qualifications

  • Experience using PLM and ERP systems.

Job description

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Sheffield. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: GBP45,383+ dependent on skills and experience.

What you'll be doing:
  1. Responsible for converting the Engineering Design intent into Manufacturing Engineering Data Packs (MDP) and Manufacturing Instructions (MI) for Operations use.
  2. Contribute to the management of the Quality and Safety Health & Environment (SHE) Systems, for Manufacturing Engineering processes and documentation, ensuring safe methods of working, and manage contractors and suppliers on site, ensuring SHE processes are followed.
  3. Assist in estimating activities and make/buy decisions.
  4. Build effective internal and cross-functional relationships to achieve project requirements and support business cases that improve performance and optimize return on capital investment.
  5. Identify development opportunities and areas for continuous improvement.
  6. Assist in deploying training and conducting risk assessments related to Manufacturing Engineering.
Your skills and experiences:
  1. Knowledge of relevant Engineering & Manufacturing Engineering standards and SHE regulations.
  2. HNC or equivalent, with experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role, or Foundation degree with practical experience.
  3. Experience using Product Lifecycle Management systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and Enterprise Resource Planning systems (e.g., SAP).
  4. Knowledge of Lean processes.
