An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading UK-based financial institution, which is currently recruiting for an experienced In-house Banking Lawyer to join its dynamic legal team in Glasgow. In this role, you will provide legal support and advice on all aspects of current and proposed product offerings in Business Banking.
You will ensure that consumer banking activities comply with relevant laws and regulations, while assisting the bank in managing the legal and regulatory risks involved.
As a Vice President, you will set strategy, manage resources, and ensure continuous improvement. You will lead teams or contribute as a subject matter expert, advising senior management and managing risks. You will foster collaboration, drive innovative solutions, and build strong relationships to achieve business objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ PQE with experience in financial services, business banking, and financial regulation. Strong risk management skills, experience in policy development, and the ability to advise on EU regulations such as Consumer Credit and Data Protection are desirable, along with the capability to identify and escalate both legal and non-legal risk issues.
