Job Description:

EV Charging, Procurement and Partnership Manager.

Based at Norton Canes, near Cannock

This role contributes to EV Charging, Sustainability, and Renewable Energy initiatives within an innovative team. It supports Roadchef’s CaaS (Charging as a Service) business model, expanding EV charging infrastructure on Motorway Service Areas to enhance customer experience.

Requirements: Experience in EV infrastructure or mobility-as-a-service sectors.

The role involves building a long-term vision for EV services, managing outsourcing relationships, reviewing and executing EV outsourcing strategies, and ensuring operational excellence through supplier management.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, adapting content and pitch as needed.
  • Oversee EV charging infrastructure projects from start to finish.
  • Coordinate with technical teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and budgeted delivery.
  • Establish and manage service level agreements for reliability and uptime.
  • Provide recommendations and business cases to senior management.
  • Stay updated on EV policies, incentives, and compliance.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Develop decision-making frameworks considering cost, scalability, risk, and sustainability.
  • Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract finalization.
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, and timelines.
  • Explore innovative solutions like AI, IoT, and analytics.
  • Act as primary contact for clients and partners.
  • Ensure pricing strategies are competitive and sustainable.
  • Manage ongoing supplier relationships and performance metrics.
Governance Responsibilities:
  • Lead governance for supplier performance, including reviews and feedback.
  • Monitor SLA adherence and KPIs, implementing improvements.
  • Build strong supplier partnerships aligning with strategic goals.
Experience and Skills:
  • Experience in EV infrastructure or mobility sectors.
  • Proven skills in supplier evaluation, procurement, and operational leadership.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory landscapes and compliance management.
Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of EV charging technologies and business models.
  • Proficiency in project management.
