Job Overview
This is a Fixed term/Secondment position until 31st March 2026 to meet the needs of the service. If you are interested in applying for the secondment, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist based within SLT services in North West Wales, working with partners in Flying Start services in Gwynedd.
Working alongside colleagues in Flying Start, including health visitors, nursery nurses, Language and Play and Early Development officers, advisory teachers, and childcare providers, you will ensure a cohesive approach to supporting speech, language, and communication development in young children.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, dynamic, and innovative, with a passion for working with young children and their families. Experience in multidisciplinary teams, especially with colleagues in Health, Education, and Social Services, is advantageous. You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including observation, listening, and empathy, to support individual needs. There will be opportunities to develop skills in staff training and education in preschool and school settings, and to contribute to the ongoing development of the Flying Start service in North West Wales.
