Job description

Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Midlands

Hours: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000, Plus Bonus, Company Car, Phone, Laptop + Full Benefit Package

Purpose of the Role: To manage, develop, and increase sales and profit contribution in existing and new customers within the areas of West Midlands, East Midlands, and South Yorkshire. Ensure all sales and margin targets and budgets are met in line with guidance from the Managing Director. Additional duties may be required as per business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain and review product knowledge by liaising with suppliers and internal departments.
  2. Establish and maintain accurate customer records, product profiles, promotional calendars, customer database, and pricing files.
  3. Devise and constantly review clear journey plans and customer categorisation.
  4. Plan and execute sales opportunities within new market sectors and strategise sales penetration opportunities.
  5. Engage in the annual planning and budgeting process to ensure accurate and achievable customer plans.
  6. Act as an ambassador for the client, promoting their services wherever possible.
Job Requirements:
  1. Valid UK driving license
  2. Strong commercial acumen
  3. Strong analytical skills
  4. Extensive sales experience
  5. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record
  6. Excellent IT skills (proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint)
  7. Excellent team-working abilities and networking skills
