Job Title: BMS Project Manager

Mission:

The position requires a proactive, customer-driven approach, demonstrating full ownership and responsibility for producing an overall Project Solution, helping to implement and complete projects with the required levels of customer satisfaction and collaboration with the Schneider Project Team. The role involves managing, engineering, planning, and resourcing multiple design projects within the End User Projects Team. Close collaboration with the Operations Manager, Project Managers, and the Engineering Manager of the Region is essential, with opportunities for career progression within the Projects Team.

Key responsibilities:

1. Health & Safety: Ensure operations and design prioritize workforce and colleague safety. Use QMS documentation and tools to maintain standards, proactively address skills and knowledge gaps, and uphold Schneider safety levels.
2. Design and Delivery: Manage multiple projects with commercial awareness, including forecasting, procurement, invoicing, variation handling, and final account agreement. Coordinate closely with the Project Team, Operations Manager, and Commercial team.
3. Milestones & Performance: Define project scope, goals, and performance measures to ensure objectives are met or exceeded, delivering high standards.
4. Engineering Responsibilities: Responsible for engineering design of BMS and integrated projects, including I/O schedules, operation descriptions, control panel designs, plant schematics, H&S documentation, and O&M documentation, ensuring compliance with ISO standards. Coordinate with Commissioning Engineers on-site scheduling.
5. Team Support: Support, coach, and mentor team members to ensure successful project delivery. Identify and address knowledge or skill gaps in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
6. Customer Engagement: Proactively gather information to progress work, attend site meetings, and maintain a customer-first approach, considering safety, time, and budget constraints.
7. Motivation & Risk Management: Maintain high motivation, be risk-aware, and demonstrate problem-solving, analytical, and pragmatic thinking.

Qualifications:

Skills and Attributes:

• Technical Knowledge & Delivery: Understanding of building automation and control systems, HVAC, energy management, with skills in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management. Ability to adapt to changing demands and mitigate project risks.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to interact effectively with clients, teams, and stakeholders, managing expectations and relationships.
• Product Knowledge & Innovation: Knowledge of key products and technologies in design and installation, with an ability to leverage expertise for project optimization. Experience with Schneider products and EcoStruxure is preferred but not mandatory.

Education:

• HND/HNC in Building Services, Engineering, or Construction with M&E background.
• Bachelor's Degree in M&E, Building Services, Electronics, or equivalent professional experience.
• Project Management certification (Prince2, PMP, or similar).
• Electrical qualifications are desirable but not essential.
