Position Overview

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teacher of French and Spanish to join our experienced Modern Foreign Languages department. The ideal candidate will share our vision to raise standards and contribute to providing the best education for our students.

Role as EAL Co-ordinator

• Lead on whole school EAL initiatives by developing and implementing effective teaching and learning strategies, and supporting colleagues to ensure positive outcomes for EAL students.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external providers to enable students speaking community languages to gain qualifications where available.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrate consistently good or outstanding classroom practice.
• Be passionate about the subject and contribute to department and school improvement plans.
• Ability to teach across the full age and ability range (11-16), with KS5 teaching as desirable.
• Drive forward academic outcomes for SEN students.
• Be supportive and willing to take on a Form Tutor role.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school.
• High expectations of self and others.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible team player.
