Customs Specialist - Freight

Are you passionate about all things Customs & International Trade? Would you consider yourself an expert in this field? Do you have exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail? Then this could be the role for you!

The Role:

As a Customs Expert, you will need a solid customs background with up-to-date knowledge on all things Customs related. Ideally, you will come from a freight forwarding background or have worked for HMRC.

You will be responsible for monitoring changes in Customs legislation, analyzing, documenting, and providing guidance to the business.

You will be a mentor and coach to the forwarding team and the wider business & clients.

The successful candidate will be involved in Customs projects and be a focal go-to point in the business. During busy periods, you will be hands-on with the team completing declarations.

Essential Criteria:

1. Solid Customs background
2. Good understanding of import/export requirements
3. Experience in business analysis
4. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
5. Ability to work under pressure
