Job description

Position: Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Liverpool

Role: Permanent

Salary: £32,000 - £45,000 Depending on experience

Start: ASAP

Due to growth within the team, our client is looking for a Senior Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join their supportive team.

The Role:

This post involves delivery of speech and language therapy services within a special school in Merseyside providing SLT services for children aged 3-19 with SLCN, learning disabilities and/or complex needs within a special school. The successful candidates will work within a team of SLTs and SLT Assistants and the multi-disciplinary teams within both areas. The successful candidate will support universal best practice within the school as a whole, undertake assessments and deliver interventions directly and through others. Depending on the skills, experience and motivation of the candidate, the role may involve supervising junior SLTs and SLTAs.

Requirements:
  1. Qualified/Registered Speech and Language Therapist with 2 or more years experience.
  2. Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  3. Experience in working with CYP with special education needs and ND.
  4. Experience working within schools.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Experience in report writing and record keeping.
  8. Hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service, working without direct supervision.
