Morson Talent is seeking a Supplier Quality Specialist based in Gloucestershire. This site-based role at a supplier's facility involves:
- Source Inspection and First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) reviews, including client FAI reviews.
- Supporting and reporting on audits and assessments of supplier systems, processes, and products, including hardware and assemblies inspections.
Position Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct audits of supplier systems, processes, and products to ensure compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
- Investigate special processes related to rejected products, escapements, and failures.
- Document and report audit and assessment findings.
- Inspect or verify products for compliance across various technologies and commodities.
- Perform conformity inspections.
- Manage supplier notifications of quality escapes, evaluate root causes, and support corrective actions and improvement activities.
- Assess supplier capability and capacity for current or future work.
- Provide supplier education on quality systems, regulatory compliance, and company initiatives to enhance performance.
- Monitor quality improvement initiatives and develop training resources.
- Assist in selecting new suppliers or additional approved processes.
- Mentor team members on SP education regarding succession planning.
- Support technical aspects of special processes at suppliers.
- Assist with regulatory agency audits (e.g., FAA).
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience in audits and quality assessments within the aerospace industry.
- Experience working with aerospace parts or services, either in a company or government agency.
- Understanding of AS9100 and AS9102 requirements.
- Knowledge of D1-4426 and NADCAP standards.
- Proficiency in Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies.
- Effective communication skills across organizational levels.
- Technical ability to lead and perform source inspections on hardware and assemblies.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- AS/EN9100 Lead Auditor, Aerospace Auditor (AA), or Aerospace Experienced Auditor (AEA) certification.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and Special Processes (e.g., heat treating, composites, chemical processing, etc.).
- Ability to conduct supplier compliance audits and develop improvement strategies.
This full-time onsite position is located at the supplier's facility in Cheltenham. Flexibility in working arrangements is required to meet evolving business and supplier needs.
Contract duration: until June 2026, with potential extension.
