Job Opportunity: Cleaner at St Leonards Hospital

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to support our services at St Leonards Hospital. This is a 12-hour position, with shifts from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm (times can be adjusted).

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in clinical ward environments and non-clinical areas throughout the hospital, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. Full on-site training and PPE are provided.

This role requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover. Applicants subscribed to the DBS update service can present a valid certificate instead of a new check.

Note: Applications from candidates requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible.

Main Duties

1. Vacuuming, mopping, and general cleaning/damp dusting
2. Cleaning bathrooms and toilets
3. Emptying bins
4. Using mechanical floor cleaning machines

The role involves teamwork, flexibility, good communication skills, and the ability to use initiative. There are opportunities to work extra hours to cover sickness and holidays.
