Location – Sixfields HWRC, NN5 5QL

As a 3.5T Driver – Reuse at FCC Environment, you will be responsible for operating and driving company vehicles to collect reusable items from six Household Waste and Recycling Centres across West Northamptonshire. You will always provide a high level of customer service and ensure all legislative and company standards are met while maintaining safety and efficiency.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week. (Across 5 days including weekends and bank holidays)

What will you be doing?
•Safely operating a company 3.5T vehicle to collect and transport reusable items.
•Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring roadworthiness.
•Loading and unloading heavy items using appropriate equipment including a tail lift.
•Completing required paperwork and ensuring loads are safe and legally compliant.
•Promptly reporting any vehicle defects or operational issues.
•Maintaining a high level of customer service and representing FCC Environment professionally.
•Complying with all safety, health, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) regulations and procedures.

What are we looking for?
•Experience: Previous experience as a 3.5T driver, including loading/unloading heavy items and using a tail lift.
•Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to personal and team safety, following all company and legal safety protocols.
•Efficiency & Reliability: Ability to carry out duties efficiently, manage time well, and maintain vehicle standards.
•Customer Focus: Excellent customer service skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
•Compliance: Knowledge and understanding of EU tachograph regulations, Working Time Directive, and other relevant legislation.
•Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively.
