Job Description:

WeDiscover was founded with the belief that when you combine performance marketing experts with data scientists and engineers, amazing things can happen.

Our mission is to build the most innovative and profitable performance marketing campaigns in the world using bespoke, custom-built technology.

We are a young company - founded in April 2020 - and are looking to make those crucial early hires that will set a solid foundation for years to come and ensure we achieve excellence.

We thrive on leveraging data to drive results. Accurate, reliable tracking is at the heart of our work, ensuring that we make data-driven decisions that optimise marketing performance. As Marketing Technology Lead, you will take ownership of this critical function, setting the strategy, driving best practices, and ensuring seamless tracking implementations across our client base.

Reporting to the Director of Data, you will be responsible for executing and evolving our tracking and tagging offering. In the short term, you will be hands-on—conducting tracking audits, implementing client- and server-side tracking, optimising consent management, and troubleshooting data collection issues. In the long term, you will build and lead a team, integrate tracking with our wider data and tech capabilities, and develop scalable processes that enhance our ability to measure and optimise performance.

This is a high-impact role, perfect for someone eager to shape and lead a function while still applying deep technical expertise.

About you:

You are a tracking and tagging expert with a deep understanding of digital marketing measurement. You thrive on solving complex tracking challenges, ensuring that data flows seamlessly and accurately to drive better business decisions. You have the vision to scale tracking as a function, and while you may not have direct people management experience, you can demonstrate leadership through stakeholder management, project ownership, and mentoring.

You should apply if you:

  • Have commercial experience with:
  • Client and server-side solutions in Tag Management Systems (TMS) / Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) such as GTM, Tealium, Segment and bespoke 1st-party implementations. Experience with product-focused analytics tools like Amplitude and Mixpanel is a bonus.
  • Client and server-side solutions for tracking in the core platforms: GA4/360, Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, SA360 and Meta. Experience with other relevant platforms is a bonus.
  • Implementing and configuring Mobile Measurement Partners (MMPs) like AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch etc.
  • App tracking technologies such as SKAN, Google Privacy Sandbox, Install Referrers and Firebase.
  • Privacy-first technologies, including consent management platforms, Google consent mode, and more complex details like aggregated conversion value measurement within SKAN.
  • Utilising 1st party data capture to facilitate server-side & API-based tracking solutions (e.g. click ID tracking, aggregated click identifiers, hashed PII, device identifiers).
  • Configuring data pipelines for ingestion of event-based data into data warehouses or data lakes is a bonus.
  • Have experience conducting tracking audits making recommendations to improve measurement accuracy.
  • Have experience troubleshooting tracking issues across multiple platforms and ensuring high data integrity.
  • Have strong stakeholder management skills, working with marketers, analysts, developers, and clients to align tracking implementations with business goals.
  • Have a strategic mindset, with ideas on how to scale tracking as a function and integrate it seamlessly into a fast-growing agency.
  • Have demonstrated leadership through:
  • Managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Managing or mentoring team members or delivering internal/external training.
  • Defining and implementing best practices for tracking workflows.

If you are eager to lead tracking and tagging at a growing agency, take ownership of key clients, and shape a function from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you.

Why work at WeDiscover:

We truly value your work, time and skills and in return will offer you a competitive salary and some additional benefits, including:

  • Significant career advancement and learning opportunities.
  • The opportunity to have a direct impact on the company and our clients.
  • Top of the range equipment and the freedom to use the right tools and techniques for the job.
  • The opportunity to gain more experience by mentoring and coaching, should you wish to.
  • 28 days of holiday (excluding bank holidays).
  • 2 volunteering days a year.
  • Remote-first working style, plus a centrally located London office
  • 5 weeks paid sabbatical after 5 years of service.
  • £40 per month wellness subscription choice (Heights, Calm, Headspace, Huel, Thriva, Gym etc).
  • £200 Annual learning fund (can be used for books, subscriptions, etc).
  • Continuous training and development. In both technical and business skills.
