JOB DESCRIPTION Position/Title: Data Quality Executive - Business Intelligence

About OpenConnect: OpenConnect is a bespoke team within GroupM, created to support BT Group in the UK. The team comprises over 100 specialists in media, data, and technology, managing over £150m of media billings for BT Group's consumer and business divisions. You will experience the Broadband, Mobile, and TV market and help work towards award-winning campaigns. It’s a challenging yet fun team to be part of, working with some of the most forward-thinking clients in the industry.

Practice Summary: The Business Intelligence team is responsible for providing actionable insights to drive business decisions. We are experts in data collection, analysis, and visualization, ensuring data accuracy and reliability across all media campaigns. We are the guardians of data quality, working to maintain data integrity and provide stakeholders with the confidence to make informed decisions.

Position Summary: Our client expects reliable data provisioning and campaign reporting. The Data Quality Executive’s role is to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our campaign and tracking data across various media platforms and data warehouses. Your role will involve collecting, dashboarding, monitoring, and analyzing critical datasets and working with internal and external stakeholders to flag discrepancies and ensure adherence to EEu’s data taxonomy and naming conventions.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  1. Collect relevant data points from media platforms and data warehouses, leveraging automation where possible.
  2. Build and maintain dashboards to enable monitoring of:
  • Media campaign tracking metrics (web, app, offline, and server-side conversions)
  • Adherence to EEu’s data taxonomy and naming conventions within media platforms
  • Analyze data within the dashboards and identify anomalies and discrepancies.
  • Support development of data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
  • Flag anomalies to relevant stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Collaborate with OpenConnect and client teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Required Platform and Coding Skills:

    • Experience with dashboarding tools such as Looker Studio, Looker, or Power BI.
    • Experience with Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting, including formulas (VLOOKUP, IF statements) and pivot tables.
    • Experience with Google Marketing Platform, social media ad managers (Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit), and mobile measurement partners.

    Required Soft Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve data quality issues.
    • Data literacy with a strong understanding of data concepts and principles.
    • Analytical mindset to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in data.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a desire to learn and grow.
    • Ability to create presentations in slides or document format.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
    • Ability to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

    Required Experience:

    • Previous experience in a data quality, data analysis, or business intelligence role.
    • Proven understanding of the media landscape.
