GBP35,000 + Overtime + Training + Progression

A great opportunity has become available with a well-established engineering company based in Poole. The company services a range of sectors and is now looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join its high-performing department.

The Role

1. Reporting to the Quality Manager.
2. Ensuring that every part leaving the shop floor meets customer and regulatory requirements.
3. Producing and verifying First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) to customer-specific standards.
4. Competent use of CMM to inspect precision-machined parts.
5. Carrying out patrol inspections on the shop floor and performing final release inspections.
6. Using a full range of traditional metrology equipment (verniers, micrometers, height gauges, shadow graphs, beam gauge, etc.).
7. Accurately recording inspection results and maintaining quality data within the QMS/MRP system.
8. Liaising with Production, Engineering, and Management to resolve non-conformances and drive continuous improvement.

The Candidate

1. Previous experience as a Quality/Mechanical Inspector in a precision engineering environment.
2. Sound knowledge of FAIR requirements and dimensional inspection techniques.
3. Competence in CMM operation is desirable.
4. Strong attention to detail and the ability to read complex engineering drawings.
5. Confident communicator.
